B&B | Rødbyhavn is centrally located for many excursions on the island of Lolland and neighbouring islands.
Redtown BB is only some few minutes’ walk or bicycle ride from Rødby Ferry railway station and the terminal for ferries to Germany. It’s therefore ideal for tourists travelling without a car.
The house is located in a quiet road – Torvegade - running parallel to the main street in Rødbyhavn, where you will find both restaurants and cafés, and the leisure harbour and beach can be reached easily by foot. In the old harbour building you can view an exhibition about the coming Fixed Link to Germany, and you will be able to watch parts of the construction work as it progresses www.femern.com.
At the end of the road you climb up a few steps to the 60 km long bicycle and walking path along the dike on the South coast of Lolland. Rødbyhavn is thus ideal for a stop, whether you are coming from the Eastern or Western side of the coast – and naturally from the German holiday island Fehmarn as well! From Rødbyhavn you can continue Northwards along the old railway line to the cathedral town of Maribo with its picturesque lakes. The pilgrimage route the Monks’ Trail (www.munkevejen.dk) runs along the same track.
